Join Mothers Who Make as part of this special afternoon event at Kettle’s Yard Cambridge which aims to bring together women makers, in a supportive environment to discuss themes of motherhood and women’s art practise.
The event will begin with a talk, tour and activity in galleries led by the Kettle’s Yard learning team, and will explore the work of Louise Bourgeois and Julie Mehretu.
Following this, the group will move to Clore Learning Studio where Mothers who Make will open discussion aimed at supporting mothers who are artists- professional and/or passionate.
The days aims to explore the role of women in contemporary art, their practise and create the beginnings of a supportive network for mothers who make in Cambridge. A regular peer support group, Mothers Who Make Cambridge is planned to commence in Spring 2019 at The Junction.
