Mothers Who Make Coventry Hub is dedicated to supporting the dual roles of mothers/birth-givers and care-givers who are also makers/artists/creatives in the West Midlands and Warwickshire region. We aim to connect local mothers through peer support, workshops, artist talks, publishing, exhibition trips and much more. The Hub also regularly enjoys ad hoc partnerships with local organisations such as Compton Verney, The Tin Music and Arts, University Hospital C&W, The Pod with Food Union, and Warwick Arts Centre, and between 2021 - 2024 the Hub was supported by Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art as part of their programme.
Since 2023 the Hub have developed the project Mothers Who Make a Garden. They hold monthly gatherings open to mothers/makers from the region and their children at their allotment space. Every kind of maker and every kind of mother is welcome inclusive of anyone who takes an interest in the concept of mothering. Children are always welcome and materials are provided for them. Membership at the Coventry Hub is fluid and always welcoming. It is facilitated by artist Adele Mary Reed and was originally founded in May 2019 at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry by Adele and Jessica Timmis.
