Mothers Who Make Coventry Hub is dedicated to supporting the dual roles of mothers/birth-givers and care-givers who are also makers/artists/creatives in the West Midlands and Warwickshire region. We aim to connect local mothers through peer support meetings, workshops, artist talks, publishing, exhibition trips and much more. Since 2021 Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art have supported the Hub. Read more about the origins of MWMC x Coventry Biennial’s partnership. The Hub also regularly enjoys ad hoc partnerships with local organisations such as Compton Verney, The Tin Music and Arts and University Hospital C&W.

From 2023 onwards, as part of Coventry Biennial, we have worked collaboratively to create a garden as an artwork in the city centre. Read our recent publication Mothers Who Make a Garden: The Dreaming, and find out more about the project here.

Every kind of maker is welcome and every kind of mother is welcome inclusive of anyone who takes an interest in the concept of mothering. Children are always welcome and materials are provided. Membership at the Coventry Hub is fluid and always welcoming. It is facilitated by artist Adele Mary Reed and was founded in May 2019 at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum.
