Creating Our Vital Third Act : a workshop for those of us in peri/menopause and postmenopause*
A workshop offering gentle yoga flows for every body connecting to creative writing exercises to imagine who we might be becoming as we age.
No previous yoga or writing experience is necessary. Stella lives with chronic pain following treatment for two cancers and welcomes all bodies in her workshops, whatever their ability.
*interested folk in premenopause are also welcome!
Stella says:
Now that many of my peers are becoming grandparents, I find that the pain of my infertility is less raw, and I notice I have more in common again with my peers who are mothers. I think, in this stage, we others and mothers have more in common than we do not – the growing demands of caring for our elders, being dismissed by our ageist society, and made invisible by a pronatal culture that values us only when we are fertile, making all of us less valued in menopause & postmenopause.
I believe there are great gains to be found in supporting each other around the ageism and misogyny that assails us all as we age, mothers or others
