ANNOUNCING A NEW PILOT
When Mothers Who Make began it had the strap line, ‘for every kind of mother and every kind of maker’ to make it clear the initiative was a wide open one, for anyone who identifies as holding these two roles, however they hold them. Slowly we have come to realise that this strap line might not be as inviting as intended. You may not identify as being ‘everyone.’ You are someone. Someone unlike everyone else. This pilot series of MWM Peer Support Specials are for particular people- hopefully one, at least, will be for you.
Between now and August 2021 we will be hosting a MWM Special every month. To each of these a guest mother/parent has been invited to help host the session, along with Matilda Leyser and Rebecca J Burman. We have space for 18 participants per meeting. Priority booking will be given to those for whom the session’s focus is immediately relevant. As with every MWM event, children are also welcome at the meetings.

FURTHER INFORMATION:
Please note, we know there are many specific characteristics that we haven’t yet covered. We want our MWM Specials to become an ongoing part of our practice so this is a start. No hierarchy of need is implied by the characteristics chosen - they are simply ones for which we have already received requests. If you want to put forwards an idea for a future MWM Special please email matilda@motherswhomake.org- we would love to hear from you.
Alongside our Specials Programme we also run, every month, an international peer support meeting to which all are welcome, and our Mother Dens, a wonderful space to share work and receive encouragement and support. Children always welcome with you! Further information can be found here: https://motherswhomake.org/international
